An Another Summer Evening

I love the Sunday evenings, especially the summer evenings with warm breeze , the silence which makes me imagine and brings the writer out of me.

Bade buzurg kehte hai
" More hot the summer is ,more the chance of getting a good rainfall". Earth heats up like a heated tava ,sweat trickles down your forehead, which takes a toll on your mind, body and soul.

Today, the heat was enervating, so I decided to calm myself by having a cool ice cream. It's always great to have an ice cream shop neat to your house. I thank gods for this kindness. The warm breeze that was naughtily poking my nose stopped as my ice cream approached me. I had ordered a tender coconut ice cream, a rare flavour for ice creams by Naturals.  The sweet, yummy and soothing taste of this ice cream makes me nostalgic and takes me back to my childhood days.

I remember there was a time when we used to have golas , ice cream . I still remember golawala uncle making golas with customized flavor, and me insisting him to put flavor more into the ice. Kalakhtta , orange ,mango and what not, it was fun back then and it would cost just 5 to 10 bucks.
We used to have ice cream in small cups for 5 bucks, and today i had to shell 50 bucks for the same. Back then we had vadapavs for 3 to 4 bucks and now the same things costs nothing less than 15.

I am a foodie, and I love exploring new cuisines, new tastes I love everything, be it Gola, Biryani, Sweets or Mocktails.
Its fun when you try street food at its place of origin. You get its authentic taste. But the Khau gallis today, are experimenting and bringing new fusion and dimensions to our taste buds. Chinese Bhel, Schezwan doza, Pasta cooked in barbeque style with extra cheese are slowly integrating in the menu of  our street food.   As I believe " there's a place for everything".
And I am signing off now with a small joke.

An Italian visits a street pasta shop in Mumbai and orders for a plate of pasta. He is astonished with the amount of cheese added to his dish.

Italian: Is this cheese on pasta or pasta on cheese?

Cook: Sir, This is our authentic pasta.

Italian: What kind of cheese is this? Mozzarella,   Cheddar, or Swiss cheese?

Cook: Sir, this is Govardhan cheese!! Hahahaa
